Creative Industry Pathways.

Content creation. Podcasting. These are career pipelines designed to connect classroom learning to professional opportunity before a student ever leaves the building.

Leadership and Character Development.
Students are developed as leaders through social-emotional learning, purpose-based programming, and the house system. They learn how to carry themselves, how to communicate, how to serve, and how to lead in rooms that were never expecting them. Character is built through daily practice and held to a standard that follows them beyond the school walls.

Community, Service, and Culture.
Abundance Academy is rooted in the community it serves. Wraparound student support. Family engagement. Partnerships with local organizations and leaders. Students learn that abundance is not just something you build for yourself. It is something you bring back to the people and places that shaped you. Service is the expectation. Culture is the identity.

Abundance means having more than you need.
So you can share it with others.
We exist to build students who carry an overflow. Students who have so much that giving becomes natural.

Our Founder
Our
Founder
Dezmone Black, known affectionately to his students as Mr. Burgers, grew up in the 89030 zip code on the Westside of North Las Vegas, the same zip codes where Abundance Academy will serve. His report cards read "has potential but" for years, and the only reason he made it through is because a handful of adults refused to write him off. He founded KS Impact, served as Lead Special Educator at CCSD where his Gallery Gang students won a national NSPA Pacemaker Award from a one-star Title I school, and now leads the General Education department at Northwest Career College, where he moved his class' pass rate from 72% to 93% in one year. He holds an MBA, an M.S.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and is one year from completing his doctorate in Educational Leadership. He is building Abundance Academy because the students in North Las Vegas deserve the same adult who refused to write them off, and they cannot wait any longer.
